Lito Velázquez




    A native of Toronto, Lito Velázquez has published stories, poems, and essays in Canada and the United States. His work can be found in The Rumpus, Tahoma Literary Review, and Motion Poems. He was nominated for a Pushcart Prize and won the Gilbert Prize. Among 37 other jobs, he has taught American LGBTQIA+ literature at University of the Pacific in Stockton, thrown parties for Madonna in Miami, and guided over a million tourists through the CN Tower in Toronto. Lito earned a Master’s in English Creative Fiction Writing from UC Davis, and is working to complete his collection of stories and a novel while at Syracuse.
