    Haejoo is a PhD student in English, whose area of specialization is nineteenth-century British literature and culture. As an interdisciplinary scholar, she is interested in how the modern self and body are negotiated in intersections of medical and moral discourses, particularly in relation to the concepts of sympathy, health, temperance, and vegetarianism. She has taught ETS 153: Interpretation of Fiction and ETS 192: Gender and Literary Texts.
