Elizabeth is a PhD student in the film and screen studies track of the English program. Her research interests are in reflexive documentary practices and critical visuality studies. She is pursuing a line of inquiry around contemporary U.S. and global cultures of surveillance and aerial vision, focusing on how the incorporation and “domestication” of new technologies changes our relationship to perception, geography, and to material existence. She teaches introductory courses in film and popular culture.
