The YMCA's Downtown Writers Center is delighted to announce the finalists for the 2014 CNY Book Awards.The finalists in each category--poetry, fiction, and non-fiction--were selected by independent judges, who are also charged with naming a winner in each category (who will be announced live at the CNY Book Awards Reception on December 4th, at the La Casita Cultural Center).  

Poetry Finalists:

Non-Fiction Judge: Sarah Freligh, author of Sort of Gone

Congratulations to this year's finalists, and to all of the 23 nominated authors for the 2014 CNY Book Awards!  


The winners of the CNY Book Awards will be announced live at this year's Awards Reception, which will be held at the La Casita Cultural Center on Thursday, December 4th, 6:00-8:00 PM. Books will be available for sale. Join us, meet the authors, and hear the announcement of the winners! We'll have a ton of food and drink as well.

The CNY Book Awards Reception is a fundraiser for the YMCA's Downtown Writers Center. Tickets are $75 ($50 of which is a tax deductible donation).
