Welcome,Viper Rum ( New Directions), The Devil's Tour, and Abacus. Her poems and essays have won Pushcart prizes and have appeared in such magazines as The New Yorker, The Atlantic, and Parnassus. Her memoir, The Liar's Club, was a New York Times bestseller for more than a year and was selected as one of the best books of 1995 by many periodicals, including The New Yorker, Time, People, and Entertainment Weekly. Cherry ( Viking), her follow up to The Liar's Club, was a bestseller for The New York Times, The Boston Globe, Los Angeles Times, and San Francisco Chronicle, and was named "Best Book" of 2000 by Entertainment Weekly, Us, and Amazon.com. She was a Bunting Fellow at Radcliffe College and is now the Jesse Truesdell Peck Professor of Literature at Syracuse University. She is the recipient of Guggenheim Fellowship for Poetry in 2004.
