Dana Spiotta
Dana Spiotta is the author of two novels, Lightning Field (Scribner, 2001) and Eat the Document (Scribner, 2006). Eat the Document was a 2006 National Book Award Finalist and a recipient of the Rosenthal Foundation Award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. Lightning Field was a New York Times Notable Book of the year, and a Los Angeles Times Best Book of the West. Dana Spiotta was a Fellow of the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation in 2007-2008. She was a Fellow of the New York Foundation for the Arts for 2008. The American Academy of Arts and Letters and the American Academy in Rome awarded her the Joseph Brodsky Rome Prize for Literature for 2008-2009. Her novels have been published in France, Germany, the U.K., China, Italy, the Netherlands, and the United States.
